My Apartment and Job

OK, it's time to show off my lovely little apartment. I've spent so much time to shop for furniture and household ware. Now I'd say it's a well-equipped little crib here.

Living Room: My GREEN sleeper sofa, set of coffee and end tables, Caribbean chair, Map of Hong Kong, light and lamp, my new investment - DVD/VCD/Mp3 home theatre, TV....

Left: Dinning Room. I really like my dinning room. Nice dinning table and chairs, and the table mats match magically with everything else. And of course, it's my favorite color.

Right: Kitchen is pretty big. I rented a Washer and a Dryer. That makes life much better. You don't know how many kitchen wares you'll need until the moment you need to buy them.

Left: My bathroom has a little "Leaf" theme. I like my shower curtain. Don't be scared by my image in the mirror. I'm OK. Just a facial mask.

Right: In order to match my "Leaf" theme in the bathroom, I created this little art work from the junk I had. Not bad, huh??!!

Bedroom - I got a full size bed in my bedroom. Can you tell I tried to match all my furniture with the same color tone -- Natural Wood, beige and Green. How's it?

It's time to talk about my job now. I'm now working at a Power Corporation which build Power Plants for people. Something Huge! I know it's difficult to imagine how it works. Anyway, let's take a look at that.

Left: This is part of a power plant. This part recycles the exhausted hot gas to boil the water again and create steam for electricity generation. Increase the entire efficiency of the power plant.

Right: This is one of the major parts, Combustion Turbine. Here air is heated by burning fuel to drive the turbine, creating movement for electricity generation. Very hot!

You might think these are some kind of gas or steam piping.  Nope, These carry the Output of a power plant -- Electricity. They are 3 gigantic solid copper wire which transfer the output electricity to the grid. More then 120 Mega Watts are transferred thru these 3 wires. 3 wires are needed because 3 phases current were generated in the plant.
